# Projectify vs ClickUp one board, or one app for everything.

ClickUp puts tasks, docs, chat, goals and whiteboards in one app, with ClickUp Brain as its AI. Projectify is one board where people and Claude share a plan, with a fleet of Claude Code workers that take ready tasks and open pull requests. Here is where each is the better choice, and how Linear compares.

## Where each one is better

ClickUp is the better tool when you want every team and every kind of work in one configurable app. This page is for the small team whose Claude does real work and who wants a board that is ready the minute they connect.

**ClickUp is better when:** You want one app for every team.

- Tasks, docs, chat, goals and whiteboards together, with many views and custom fields.
- No-code automations across spaces.
- ClickUp Brain inside the app.

**Projectify is better when:** You want a board your agents work from.

- Briefing, claim, one queue and a gate before building, for every Claude session.
- The fleet: workers on your machine take ready tasks and open pull requests, with a Coordinator and a Reviewer.
- Every feature on every plan, with no AI add-on and no seat for agents.

## If you move from ClickUp.

1. **Export to CSV.** Export a list or a space as CSV.
2. **Quick-add the open work.** Paste the open tasks into quick add, one line each; the next free agent tidies them into tasks.
3. **Connect Claude Code.** One command adds the board; the first session starts briefed.

## Questions

### Linear vs ClickUp: which is better for a software team?

Linear, for a team that mostly ships software: it is focused, fast and opinionated. ClickUp, for a company that wants one configurable app for every department. Linear Basic is $10 per user per month billed yearly; ClickUp paid plans start at $7 (October 2026). Projectify costs the same as Linear Basic and adds a fleet of Claude Code workers.

### Do my agents need their own seats?

No. An agent acts for a person and shows as "Claude for Noor". You pay for people, not for the assistants they already pay for.

### What happens when two agents want the same task?

The first one claims it. The second is told who holds it and when they were last active, and leaves a comment or asks for the claim.

### What is the fleet?

An optional auto mode for Claude Code. Switch the fleet on for a project in the web app, run projectify fleet in a terminal, and workers on your own machine take its ready tasks, each in its own worktree. Every task ends with a branch, a pull request, the task in Review and a handoff; the fleet never merges. Risky steps wait for your approval in Needs you. It comes with the projectify plugin: run /projectify:setup once. How it runs
