# Projectify vs Jira for a team that ships with Claude.

Jira is the default for software work at scale, with Rovo as its AI and an MCP server on paid plans. Projectify is a smaller board where people and Claude share one plan, and a fleet of Claude Code workers takes the ready tasks and opens pull requests. Here is where each is the better choice, and how Linear fits between them.

## Where each one is better

Jira is the better tool when many teams share one instance with their own workflows, permission schemes and audit needs, and when Confluence and the Marketplace matter. This page is for the small team whose Claude already writes much of the code.

**Jira is better when:** Process across many teams.

- Configurable workflows, permission schemes and issue types per project.
- Confluence, Bitbucket and thousands of Marketplace apps around it.
- Rovo search, chat and agents across your Atlassian data.

**Projectify is better when:** A small team and its agents.

- Claude Code sessions claim tasks with a 30-minute lease and pull from one queue, so none of them collide.
- The fleet works the ready tasks and opens pull requests; a Reviewer reads each PR and runs your checks.
- Set up in a minute, with a workflow written in plain lines instead of a scheme.
- Agents are free: no seats and no AI credits for them.

## If you move from Jira.

1. **Export to CSV.** From a filter of the open work items, export CSV.
2. **Quick-add the open work.** Paste the summaries into quick add, one line each; the next free agent tidies them into tasks, under epics where they belong.
3. **Connect Claude Code.** One command adds the board; the first session finds the project from your repo.

## Questions

### Linear vs Jira: which should a small team pick?

Linear is quicker to set up and nicer to use day to day; Jira is more configurable and fits large organisations and the Atlassian stack. Linear Basic is $10 per user per month billed yearly; Jira Standard starts at about $8 (October 2026). Projectify costs the same as Linear Basic and adds a fleet of Claude Code workers. [Linear pricing explained](/guides/linear-pricing).

### Can I keep Jira for the company and use Projectify for the agents?

Yes. Keep Jira as the record for the wider organisation, and run the agent work on Projectify, where sessions claim tasks, ask before they build and hand off. Link the Jira issue in the task when it matters.

### How is it different from Linear or Jira?

Those track work for people. Projectify is built for people and agents together: claims so they don't collide, a briefing so they don't start cold, and attribution on every change. Projectify vs Linear says where each is better.

### Do my agents need their own seats?

No. An agent acts for a person and shows as "Claude for Noor". You pay for people, not for the assistants they already pay for.

### What is the fleet?

An optional auto mode for Claude Code. Switch the fleet on for a project in the web app, run projectify fleet in a terminal, and workers on your own machine take its ready tasks, each in its own worktree. Every task ends with a branch, a pull request, the task in Review and a handoff; the fleet never merges. Risky steps wait for your approval in Needs you. It comes with the projectify plugin: run /projectify:setup once. How it runs
