Linear's plans at a glance

Prices as of October 2026, in US dollars per user per month. Yearly prices are from linear.app/pricing; monthly prices are from third-party guides, since the pricing page shows yearly billing.

Plan Billed yearly Billed monthly Main limits and additions
Free $0 $0 Unlimited members, 2 teams, 250 issues
Basic $10 $12 No issue limit, more teams
Business $16 $18 Private teams, guests, more admin and AI features
Enterprise Quote Yearly only SSO and security controls, support terms

Check Linear's page before you buy: plan names and limits have changed before, and older articles still quote earlier prices.

The Free plan

Free is generous on people and tight on volume. Unlimited members can join, but a workspace gets two teams and 250 issues. A small team that files every bug and task will reach 250 issues within weeks, so treat Free as a trial for a real project.

Try this on your own backlog.

Free for one person. No card. Connected in a minute.

Basic

Basic removes the issue limit and is the plan most small teams buy. At $10 per user per month billed yearly, a five-person team pays $600 a year; monthly billing at $12 comes to $720.

Business

Business adds private teams, guest access and more admin and AI features. It suits teams with clients or contractors in the workspace and companies that need more control.

Enterprise

Enterprise is quoted and billed yearly. It is for organisations that need SAML SSO, advanced security and support terms.

What a team pays on Linear

People Basic, yearly Basic, monthly billing over a year Business, yearly
5 $600 $720 $960
10 $1200 $1440 $1920
20 $2400 $2880 $3840

How to keep a Linear bill down

  • Bill yearly. Basic drops from $12 to $10 per user per month, about a sixth off.
  • Count who needs a seat. Every member is billed. People who only read updates now and then may be served by a shared view or a weekly summary instead.
  • Stay on Basic until you need Business. Private teams and guest access are the usual reasons to move up; if you have neither, Basic does the job.
  • Use the free agent seats. Agents that connect as app users do not take a paid seat, so automations and assistants do not grow the bill.
  • Watch the Free limits before you commit. Two teams and 250 issues is enough for a pilot, not for a quarter of real work.

Is Linear worth it?

For a product team that runs cycles, triage and roadmaps across several teams, yes. Linear is fast, opinionated and polished, its integrations are broad, and its MCP server lets Claude Code read and write issues. If that describes you, the Basic plan is fair value.

Where it fits less well is a small team whose Claude does much of the work. Linear sees an agent as an integration: it can read and update issues, but nothing gives it a claim with a lease, a briefing at the start of every session, or a way to work through the backlog on its own.

What Projectify costs

Projectify has three plans:

Plan Price Who
Solo Free One person, every feature, the fleet included
Team $10 per user per month billed yearly ($120 a year), or $12 monthly Any number of people, every feature
Enterprise Contact us Larger organisations, self-hosting

Team is the same price as Linear Basic, deliberately. For that price you get:

  • The fleet. projectify fleet runs Claude Code workers on your own machine that take ready tasks, each in its own worktree, and open pull requests. A Coordinator answers their questions within your policy and a Reviewer checks every PR.
  • A protocol for agents. Every session starts briefed, claims its task with a 30-minute lease, pulls from one queue and asks before it builds.
  • Free agents. Claude Code, claude.ai, Claude Desktop and every fleet worker act for a person and never take a seat. Ten agents on one person cost the same as none.
  • External boards. A client's Trello, Monday or Azure DevOps board stays where it is, synced both ways.

There is one rule on Solo: each business email domain gets one free workspace. If someone at your company already uses Projectify, they invite you, or you start Team.

Linear or Projectify?

Pick Linear if you are a product organisation that needs cycles, triage, roadmaps and a big integration catalogue. Pick Projectify if you are a small team where Claude already writes much of the code and you want it to work from the board, claim tasks and open pull requests overnight, at the same price. Projectify vs Linear has the full side by side, and Linear alternatives covers the other options.
